Not so Wordy Wednesday

We interrupt this regularly scheduled "Not-so-Wordy-Wednesday" to make the following announcement:

My daughter's birthday is next Thursday, and I will have the opportunity to shop this weekend. I have NOTHING for her. No ideas for her. When asked, she provides NO SUGGESTIONS. So I am asking you to please think beyond the "Not-so-Wordy-Wednesday" and help a mom out. Olivia will be 6 years old and is very laid-back. Help me please! I really want to get her something special, fun, and thoughtful.

This isn't special or thoughtful...but it's FUN!
My girls play for hours and hours with their Little Pet Shop figurines, playsets, etc. and their Loving Family Doll house.

How about a cute puppy like the one in your blog-post? Maybe it'll grow on ya.

Last year we bought Brooklyn a Barbie camera, some film, and photo albums. She loves to take pictures but I limit how often because it can get expensive. We also bought her a Barbie Laptop and it has all kinds of learning games on it. She thinks she is so clever with her laptop on her desk. Those are just a couple of ideas.

My girls love a "day with mom" gift. I decorate the inside of a box with difernt homemade coupons (that I tape to the inside of the box) for things like lunch at the restaurant of your choice, a ticket to see a movie, shopping at the mall (my 8 year old loves Libby Lou's I don't know if you have one near you but they are every little girls dream). Then I wrap the box for a gift to open. I have 4 kids so they all love having one-on-one time with either parent.
Smiles!

Lily is really into Webkinz right now. Does she have any of those? The only bad part though is having to share more of the computer time!

Hey the Pirate is back in port, even if temporarily.
A great gift is always one that exercises one's creativity.

No suggestions from me. Just wanted to read what others had to say.

I agree with Amber - anything Doll house is great. Maddie also loves anything Polly Pocket. Or, since I know Olivia (and you) love to craft - maybe a craft kit of some kind... beads, stamps, etc...? Good luck and let us know what you got!

Take her to the salon and have Natae fix her hair. One of my clients had her daughters 8th birthday there. All the girls LOVED it.

my six year old is asking for a camera - but other things too - like some great dolls from Target. :) They have some that look like the American Girl dolls - but are waaaaaay cheaper. Target also has some great dolls from the Only Hearts Club - think Barbie minus anatomical additions. Nice, soft, aimed-at-little-girls dolls. And horses. Love horses - and both types of dolls have their own horses. :)

Good question...as my daughter isn't quite old enough to enjoy all of these fun ideas!

HAVE FUN!!

Light bright, web-kinz, Hulabaloo (fabulously fun game!!)...take her out for some special time with mom stop by Build a Bear and create one together (if she hasn't already got one). Sky has always been into the arts and crafts stuff too-- lots out there for this!
